Safety First

The safety of riders and members of the community is our top priority here at Skoot.

Keep these things in mind next time you ride!

Use Caution

Always be aware of surrounding traffic, especially at intersections - cars are your biggest risk.

Start off slowly while you get used to the accelerator and brakes.

No one-handed rides. Put down the phone and coffee cup.

No headphones - listen to what's around you.

Don’t ride if you’ve been drinking alcohol or have used other intoxicating substances, including prescription or over the counter medication, which may cause drowsiness.

How to Ride

1 Start - Kick-start three times, then push throttle button down.

2 Ride - Place both feet on footboard while riding.

3 Brake - Squeeze brake handle to slow down.

Wear a Helmet

Always be safe.

Skoot offers premium helmets for hire, for only €5 per day, to all riders. We also offer helmets for purchase, and actively encourage you to purchase one,  alongside your e-scooter.

You will be offered a helmet on the start of your rental!

ALWAYS adhere to the rules of the road. You must be 18 years old to Skoot!

Skoot Scooters is fun with friends, but only one rider per Scooter is permitted. Follow all traffic rules including street signs and stop signs. Use caution at crossings.
